The Quality Assurance Process(QAP) is the CA Department of Education’s current system of reviewing indicators associated with the performance and compliance of each Local Educational Agency’s special education program. QAP includes four monitoring activities: Performance Indicator Review (PIR), Disproportionality (Dispro) Data Informed Non Compliance (DINC), and Comprehensive Review. This breakout session will review the Annual Performance Report(APR) and annual notification process. It will also cover the indicators and the 3 most common of the 4 monitoring activities: DINC, Dispro and PIR and how these processes can link to the LEA’s LCAP and overall continuous improvement. Participants will leave this session with resources to support their school’s participation and engagement in QAP.
