This workshop will take participants on a journey to create a multi-sensory learning experience that not only engages and motivates but has intention. It will incorporate the elements of Universal Design for Learning and Multiple Intelligence. It will help teachers create learning experiences that build connections with students. It will present concrete strategies to create an active learning experience regardless of topic using assistive technology. We will go beyond the hand of hand and teach students how to use a wide range of assistive technology to support learning. We will build learning experiences that have a strong focus on the three M’s: Multiple Modalities, Meaningful Interactions and Motivating to students.
