This session will repeat on Wednesday at 1pm in Sinatra 13 & 14.

This presentation will provide an overview of new laws affecting student services and special education practitioners, which will take effect in the 2019-2020 school year. Any new laws on Pupil Mental Health? Any new funding for Foster Youth and Homeless Youth? What is the status of Medical Cannabis in schools? Any changes in the Comprehensive School Safety Plan implementation? Any new Interdistrict Attendance guidelines? Attendees will receive a synopsis of each new bill and recommendations regarding possible board policy revisions, notifications and appropriations considerations.
